Ronny Vardy Beeman artist bio.
Ronny is a local artist and owner of Art School Santa Fe, an art space for learning and joy for youth. Specializing in oils and watercolors, her art weaves together elements of the fantastical and the natural. Her work often explores themes of feminine sensuality, strength, and vulnerability, inviting viewers into a whimsical, humorous, and storybook fantasy world. With a deep fascination for gender, Ronny's art delves into how it is reflected in both historical and modern-day narratives.
Philosophy:
Through her work, she explores the concept of the crone — examining the contrast between the youthful woman and the aged, wiser figure and invites viewers to reflect on how society views them both. Ronny encourages observers to join her in interpreting the art and contemplating the questions of what gender is and how it is connected to the passage of time and humanity's relationship with the natural world.
Process:
Trained extensively in the Larry Gluck method for five years in Los Angeles, Ronny's art is grounded in classical Renaissance master techniques. For the past 30 years, she has taught traditional painting, inspiring generations of artists to appreciate the technical mastery and emotional depth that come with fine art.
